Using DynaMed Plus mobile app FAQ

Evidence-Based Methodology

A clinical resource that is truly evidenced-based must contain summaries and recommendations based on the best evidence to date. This can only be done by systematically identifying and appraising the literature available. DynaMed Plus employs a 7 step process to consistently and systematically identify, select, evaluate, interpret, and summarize available evidence. DynaMed Plus also appraises and updates evidence daily, and even alters their conclusions when new evidence becomes available.

Below is a link to the 7 step process as well as sources of content and editor information.

What is DynaMed CE?

Physicians and nurse practitioners using DynaMed to inform and support their clinical decisions may earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Contact Hours, respectively, for this activity.

A maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ may be claimed per year for this activity.

How to earn CE Credit/Contact Hours

After finishing a qualified search, you may complete the additional required steps to earn CE for that activity (0.5 credit/contact hour per search). These steps include answering questions in order to document 1) the condition or clinical issue (what you needed to find), 2) the contents located (what you found), and 3) the result of the search (application of information). Follow the instructions for each question.
You then enter your name and email address, and select the type of credit. Once the information is submitted, you will receive an email with instructions for claiming DynaMed credits/contact hours on the EBSCO CME Tracker.

How to claim CE Credit/Contact Hours

Credits/contact hours are recorded on the EBSCO CME Tracker, where users can print CE Certificates that are provided in PDF format. Specific instructions are presented here and also in the email sent to users.
